Got my first pair of Tellason jeans after twenty-five years of wearing Japanese denim from Japanese brands. This pair compares well to my other heavy denim, with a deep indigo color and great texture. The cut is also excellent, not too tight or loose around the thighs, and slightly higher waist and wider leg opening for motorcyclists. After a two hour soak to take out some of the starch, the jeans became significantly more comfortable--similar to breaking in a 14 oz pair right out of the bag. The 19 oz provides enough stiffness to earn great wear. I'm 5'8" 170 lbs and usually wear a size 32. They recommended going up a size to 33, which now gives me a little room and I also hemmed at 33 to cuff 2". Will be wearing these on my next trip to Japan to flex CA pride.
